Pims Projects: New University Hospital in Stavanger

  • Sykehusbygg is the national agency for expertise in hospital planning and construction.

  • The first phase of the construction of the Stavanger University Hospital will be completed by 2024. Construction started in 2019.

  • The new University Hospital will in total be 200 000 square meters.
  • Sykehusbygg is utilizing the Pims modules Cost Management, Contract Management, Risk Management, and the HMSREG system on this project.

In 2015, Omega started adapting the project management tool, Pims, for use in the construction sector. Sykehusbygg, which is the national agency for expertise in hospital planning and construction, and their Stavanger University Hospital building project in Stavanger, was one of Pims’ first pilot projects

“I immediately volunteered to be a pilot project because I knew I could influence the product this way,” says Project Director, Kari Gro Johanson.

“We have taken all the modules on board. Not all modules were ready when we first started using them, but we helped to develop them along the way.”

For this project, in which phase one will be completed by 2024, Sykehusbygg is utilizing Cost Management, Contract Management, Risk Management, and HMSREG.
