Sasol Chooses Pims CMS

Sasol Chemicals has selected Pims Completion Management for the commissioning of it's world-scale petrochemical complex near its existing facilities in southwest Louisiana.

Located in Westlake, LA, the Lake Charles Chemical Plant project includes the construction of a world-scale ethane cracker, and six downstream derivative chemical plants. Early works, site prep, and civil construction have been under way on the project since 2014, while mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation work began in 2016.

Implementation of Pims CMS has been completed. To assist in the daily management and use of the system, Mike McDonnell was mobilized to Lake Charles, LA this last June, and will be on the project team for an estimated 3 years.

Omega at ECC

ECC (Engineering & Construction Contractors) sponsors the annual conference, held in early September each year. This year the conference was attended by over 750 engineering and construction professionals, including owners, EPC contractors and suppliers/vendors.

Omega Project Solutions has been a corporate sponsor now for 3 years running and we take great pride in this. Nathan LaLonde and Lori Ravel are also participants in the ECC Future Leaders Program, which provides mentoring and guidance to up and coming leadership candidates in our industry. Both of Omega's Future Leaders participants were commended for their individual contributions.

Nathan was a member of the social media team where he produced and narrated a number of training videos on the use of the ECC smartphone App.

Lori was a member of the social networking team where she led the planning of the mid-year social event held earlier in July.

Pims User Conference 2016

Pims User Conference 2016 was held in Stavanger, September 20-21. The conference brought together Pims
clients from some of Norway's most prestigious organizations.

The client presentations offered useful insight into other companies' use of Pims in a project setting. In addition to the workshops on the different modules, the approximately 100 participants had the opportunity to give feedback and ask questions of the experts.
