Description
- Package responsible engineer for rotating equipment, static equipment and multidisciplinary packages
- Carry out work according to applicable procedures and work instructions
- Prepare and issue technical requisitions and data sheets
- Technical evaluation of supplier quotations including preparation of technical bid comparisons
- Technical liaison with suppliers and with other engineering disciplines
- Review and commenting of supplier documentation
- Check compliance to relevant authority regulations, relevant codes and standards stated in supplier's documentation, and requirements stated in the contract
- Ensure that supplier's work is performed according to relevant instructions / procedures and in accordance with the contract
- Identify and report any extra work related to changes in the scope of work
- Evaluate and respond to technical queries and non-conformance requests
- Perform inspections and witness testing of equipment packages
- Ensure timely delivery of equipment and final documentation
- EIS and STID coordination & completion work
- Follow up and monitor equipment weights in EIS
- Prepare and follow up loose items and EIS requisitions
- Prepare, coordinate and follow up change flags, TQs and NCRs
- Memo writer in meetings
- Follow up comments from disciplines on Supplier documents
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as Mechanical Package Engineer within the oil & gas sector
- Previous experience with mentioned equipment, package follow up, and multidisciplinary engineering
- Familiar with Statoil requirements, NORSOK and Norwegian acts and regulations
- Minimum Bachelor or similar, preferred Master
Other requirements:
- Have good communication skills – both orally and in writing
- Have a cooperative working attitude
- Be systematic and accurate
- Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
- Be proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
- Aibel experience is an advantage
